How to Play

Play Daily Dog Pooh online for free. Daily Dog Pooh is a logic game loosely based on sudoku and minesweeper. Identify the location of the dogs and poohs using logic rules and revealed givens. Each row and column has an equal number of dogs & poohs, and no more than 2 poohs or dogs can appear adjacently in any row or column. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

On the welcome screen, choose a difficulty level (grid size) to begin the game:
- 6 x 6 (36 cells, with 18 of each type & 3 in each row and column)
- 8 x 8 (64 cells, with 32 of each type & 4 in each row and column)
- 10 x 10 (100 cells, with 50 of each type & 5 in each row and column)
- 12 x 12 (144 cells, with 72 of each type & 6 in each row and column)
- Select Help to learn more about the rules of the game.
- Select the drop down menu on the top right corner to choose the game’s language:

      - With your mouse, left click on a cell to place a dog or pooh icon.
      - Touchscreen devices
        Tap on the screen with your fingers to place a dog or pooh icon on each of the cells.
        Controls & indicators
        The game’s indicators are located on the right side of the screen. From the top, these are as follows:
        The present date
        The timer
        The first row of buttons, from left to right:
        Undo button: Remove your previous action.
        Pause button: Momentarily stop the game’s timer.
        Reset button: Returns everything to the way it was when you began.
        The second row of buttons, form left to right:
        Music button: Toggle the game’s music.
        Sound effects button: Toggle the game’s audio cues.
        Enlarge button: Switch between windowed and full screen modes
        Game Play
        Generating puzzles
        The game generates a different puzzle for every day of the year.
        This amounts to between 365 to 366 different puzzles for each type of grid.
        You can play a different puzzle by selecting a different date on the calendar.
        Alternately, you can select next after finishing your previous game.
        Objectives
        Mark all the tiles on the grid with a dog icon or a pooh icon.
        You start the game with some of the tiles already revealed. Use these to deduce the pattern.
        The game ends when you’ve correctly marked the location of the dogs and poos in the grid.
        Rules
        Each row and column on the grid has the same number of dogs and poohs.
        There should never be more than 2 dog or pooh icons next to each other either horizontally or vertically.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for people of all ages who like dogs or logic puzzle games.
        The game has no adult themed content.
